INTRODUCTION
I’ve always been drawn to various forms of media, both in consumption and creation. Growing up in the Black Hills of South Dakota, I developed a love for modern iconography and pop culture, which naturally led me to photography.
Now, as a student, I'm exploring architectural engineering and pursuing a co-terminal Master's in High-Performance Buildings. My academic and soon-to-be professional focus lies in understanding the complexities of buildings, how we interact with them, and the importance of caring for our built environment.
Music also plays a huge role in my life. Whether I'm expanding my record collection, diving into concert photography, or lurking in the depths of RateYourMusic, music is a constant companion and profoundly influences who I am. It's an obsession, sure, but also a source of connection, inspiration, and identity.
This website offers a glimpse into the things that capture my attention and the projects I’ve poured myself into. Though curated, it's still a window into how I see the world, what inspires me and ways I try to create.
PHOTOGRAPHY
PHOTOGRAPHY
I picked up a camera around 2015 and haven’t put it down since. Growing up in Utah and South Dakota, I developed a love for adventure and the outdoors. Initially, my focus was on capturing landscapes and nature, but as I got older, I shifted towards concerts, portrait, and film photography.
For me, photography is a way of reacting to the world and connecting with people and experiences I might not otherwise reach. It’s shaped my life in ways I never expected.
MUSIC
During college, I found myself drawn into WIIT 88.9FM, our campus radio station. It felt like a natural way to let my music obsession spill into something bigger, beyond just listening. More than anything, it gave me a community of people who share that same love for sound.
My introduction to concert photography grew out of that same space. For me, it’s less about freezing an artist in time and more about catching the energy that fills a room. It's the details that make a performance stick in your memory. It’s a way of translating sound into something visual, giving the moment another life.
If you’d like to see more of my work, whether it’s additional photos or write-ups, feel free to visit our blog. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m forever grateful for the memories and connections made along the way.
GRATITUDE
To my family, thank you for allowing me to explore and pursue my creative interests. I wouldn’t be who I am today without the camera my grandma gave me in 8th grade, nor the space my parents let me use to make my rugs in the basement. Thank you for not questioning when I fit concerts into an already overbooked schedule. A special shoutout to my dad for always keeping my pictures as his computer and phone wallpapers and for being an ear whenever I had music-related tidbits to share. And to my mom, thanks for going to that Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in 2021, even though they weren’t exactly your favorite ’90s band.
To my sister, thanks for finally coming around to my music recommendations. It’s been great to share that part of my world with you.
Shoutout to my friends for being both the nicest supporters and the bluntest critics. I appreciate the patience, honesty, and inspiration you’ve given me—whether it’s about my work or just messing around.
If you’ve made it this far, I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for even taking the time to look at this silly little website.WHAT NOW?
