INTRODUCTION
I’ve always been drawn to various forms of media, both in consumption and creation. Growing up in the Black Hills of South Dakota, I developed a love for modern iconography and pop culture, which naturally led me to photography.
Now, as a student, I'm exploring architectural engineering and pursuing a co-terminal Master's in High-Performance Buildings. My academic and soon-to-be professional focus lies in understanding the complexities of buildings, how we interact with them, and the importance of caring for our built environment.
Music plays a huge role in my life. Whether I'm expanding my record collection, diving into concert photography, or lurking in the depths of RateYourMusic, music is a constant companion and profoundly influences who I am. It's an obsession that, insufferable as it may seem, is central to who I am.
Throughout this website, you'll see a sliver of what goes on in my head. It's a curated collection of things that fascinate me and creative projects I've embarked on.
PHOTOGRAPHY
PHOTOGRAPHY
I picked up a camera around 2015 and haven’t put it down since. Growing up in Utah and South Dakota, I developed a love for adventure and the outdoors. Initially, my focus was on capturing landscapes and nature, but as I got older, I shifted towards daily life, portrait, and film photography.
I take pictures for many reasons: to capture a moment, chase a feeling, or simply because something catches my eye. Each photo I take is a reaction to and reflection of how I see the world around me. Photography has been a gateway for me to connect with countless people and experiences. It’s shaped my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
MUSIC
MUSIC
Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the station manager at WIIT 88.9FM. It’s been a pleasure to immerse myself in the college radio scene, where I’ve met like-minded individuals and forged connections that go beyond just playlists. This role allowed me to help create a flourishing environment where music became a connecting point for larger conversations, and, most importantly, grow within a community that shares the same passion for sound.
Concert photography has become a natural extension of this obsession. There’s something powerful about capturing an artist in a photograph—removing them from a moment in time while still preserving the intensity and sincerity of that moment. I love being able to transport, expand, and further convey an artist’s message through my photographic interpretation.
If you’d like to see more of my work, whether it’s additional photos or write-ups, feel free to visit our blog. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m forever grateful for the memories and connections made along the way.
GRATITUDE
To my family, thank you for allowing me to explore and pursue my creative interests. I wouldn’t be who I am today without the camera my grandma gave me in 8th grade, nor the space my parents let me use to make my rugs in the basement. Thank you for not questioning when I fit concerts into an already overbooked schedule. A special shoutout to my dad for always keeping my pictures as his computer and phone wallpapers and for being an ear whenever I had music-related tidbits to share. And to my mom, thanks for going to that Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in 2021, even though they weren’t exactly your favorite ’90s band.
To my sister, thanks for finally coming around to my music recommendations. It’s been great to share that part of my world with you.
To my friends, thank you for being the nicest (and harshest) of critics. I value everyone’s patience and insight when it comes to my work (or just screwing around in general). Thank you all for acting as inspiration and guiding me from one thing to the next.
If you’ve made it this far, I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for even taking the time to look at this silly little website.
WHAT NOW?
For you, the choice is yours. You can explore the pages of this website or never visit again. Either way, works for me.
If you’re curious about my more personal and day-to-day life, or if you want to know which concerts I’m heading to next, feel free to follow my Instagram.
As for me, I’m still figuring things out. Life has been a balancing act, trying to fit everything each day offers into something worthwhile. I can’t imagine that changing anytime soon.
Hopefully, more concerts, more rugs, and more pictures.
